Workplace stress in on the increase. It’s now the most common cause of long-term sick leave in the UK.  The current economic climate is adding to the more familiar reasons for stress, with uncertainty about job security and dealing with change being just part of the toxic mix.

While employers are being urged to address this, it’s important that as individuals we find our own solutions; loss of control over our destiny and loss of confidence in our leaders has caused the stress, so instead of putting our trust externally now’s the time to have more trust in ourselves. Not an easy task, when we’re given many reasons not to trust ourselves; we’re overwhelmed by information, choices, desirable products to fill up our apparent lack, deafened by a legion of ‘experts’ who convince us they know us better than we know ourselves and have just the thing to fix us.Light in your hands

Humbug.

Trust yourself. Have a day of listening to your intuition. It may be a very quiet voice, but given the chance it will drown out those experts, bring peace in a turbulent world, and dissipate stress.
