Wherever you are in the world, if you’re a recent graduate you might have a serious problem that you’re not even aware of!
And it’s stopping you from getting the career you’re capable of.
For example, in India this problem means that most engineering graduates aren’t landing the IT jobs they trained for. Instead, they’re being forced to go into other fields.
In a recent survey of 2300 CIOs in the USA, fifty-five percent said that graduates who apply for jobs with them have this problem, putting them out of the running.
And in the UK, the hospitality industry is suffering from this problem, with four out of five job applicants afflicted. The situation is reckoned to be costing businesses billions – and costing job applicants a position.
So what is the problem?
It’s a lack of soft skills.
It’s just that simple.
But it’s serious.
Most graduates don’t realise they’ve got this problem.
They believe their education has prepared them for the real world of work.
Evidence is, it hasn’t.
